Cosmopolitan

This hotel charges you more than Euro 300 per night, but offers you no amenities in the bathroom, no coffee machine.- actually nothing to make you feel you are in the 4* property. You could enjoy the spartan look of their rooms, 2 pillows ( the standard should be 4) and really a "youth hostel ' touch. Honestly- coming to Munich and paying more than in Paris and having less comfort - why should one do this ???

Best bit of hotel is it's location. It's right in heart of buzzing cafes in Schwabing and 10 mins or so walk to Englishcher Garten. We had a 6 bed family room which was fine and downstairs area is pleasant although outdoor area is limited. Staff very pleasant. It took a few attempts to get my deposit back but staff did sort. Just keep an eye on that.

We stayed for 3 nights during Oktoberfest. Check in was pleasant. The room was large enough but had an odd configuration with the shower almost adjacent to the bed. That was a bit strange. Bed was large and comfortable. We liked the location. Short walk to the English Garden. About 3 blocks to the subway, where it was a very short trip to the Oktoberfest grounds. There are several restaurants nearby. Did not try the breakfast but it seemed to be popular. Overall, this hotel was a good choice.
