Mercure Muenchen Altstadt

Mercure Hotel in München was excellent - it was just what we needed. The location was great and easy to get to. We did an audio walking tour through the Rick Steves app, and were impressed how central our hotel was along the touring route. Air conditioning was amazing during a hot stretch in Germany. The breakfast was exceptional - so far our favorite in our Bavaria/Franconia roadtrip. It's a large buffet with many options. This was a great first stay for us in Germany. The room is quite spartan with modern touches, do not anticipate decor - but you are there to sightsee anyways and not spend time in the room, so this didn't affect us.

Excellent location, excellent staff, outstanding breakfast, nice room

This hotel was an exquisite opportunity to show Münich for what it really was. It captured the true essence of the city and its light shone very brightly in my eyes. It is within a stunning quaint alley which shows you how even the smallest parts of the city can take your breath away. The rooms were exceptionally exceptional with- winning! A free minibar! What else do I need to say! The beds are comfortable and the TV is even in German for you if you speak German. It was as clean as Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen and provided a truly decent and enjoyable stay. The staff were brilliant and pulled the hard yards late into the night, but there was always a light in our eyes knowing we would end our night staying in this Schön resort. It was quiet and cool enough to relish in a comfy sleep and it was certainly a good value for a little pay.
