MK Hotel Munchen

Super bad experience. MOLD!! I had booked 2 nights at the hotel at the beginning of 2026. When I entered the room, I already noticed a strange smell. However, I could not identify what it was. Since I was very tired, I went straight to sleep; while getting ready in the bathroom, I unfortunately noticed that the cleanliness left something to be desired. But much worse was my discovery the next morning, when I saw that there was mold in the window area and that the area around the windows had apparently been freshly painted, i.e., presumably larger mold stains had already been painted over. I pointed this out to the staff at the reception and asked to cancel the second night; no accommodation was possible here. I also tried to assert my rights afterwards. However, the hotel referred me to the booking platform, and they (booking.com) did not see themselves as responsible either. In the end, I looked for and paid for a new hotel for the second night and did not receive any refund from the hotel, and on top of that, I presumably compromised my health during the first night. Furthermore, the hotel did not issue a correct invoice.

The ease of everything with the hotel means that everything can be done without interaction with the staff at all. This makes all aspects of the stay simpler and provides flexibility in all aspects of the stay. The room was simple, and had all that was necessary for my stay, the bed was comfortable although the pillow wasn't to my taste. I appreciated having a large window and despite being near the entrance I was not distracted by any noise external to my room. Check-in and check-out were both simple affairs, and having everything controlled through the phone was also a nice touch, reducing the reliance upon a key that could be lost. The location of the hotel is also very good, with connections to public transport, S-Bahn, U-Bahn and busses all available within a short walk. Disliked · I think the bathroom could have been cleaner, and to enhance the privacy of the rooms on the ground floor (particularly facing the courtyard) a screen or film could be placed on the window.

It's true the stairs and the check-in take some negotiating, but we had a spacious, airy, clean, quiet room with large beds and excellent plumbing. A cot arrived when we requested one. It's also a great location for exploring the city so it may suit you if you are travelling lightish and are reasonably mobile
