We knew this would be a hotel to merely rest our bodies at night, we were not expecting a 3-5 star experience. We were fine with that. However, we were not expecting a nightmare experience. 1) There was no one at reception upon our arrival, so we called the number listed in the counter. We were provided with the code to open the box with your keys. However, the person we spoke with had no clue where the parking lot was. 2) We rang the ring camera multiple times, no answer despite the sign stating someone was available 24/7. 3) My husband drove for at least 30 minutes around the block, trying to find the parking lot in a sketchy area. It was a scary situation for the entire family. A random lady helped him finally find a place to park. We were exhausted by then, having arrived in Munich that evening. So much for resting our bodies! 4) I explained the situation to the front desk lady the next day and she said she would not charge us for that one night stay, nor for us cancelling the remainder of our stay. She said she saw the ring camera's video and confirmed we made multiple attempts to reach someone to no avail. 5) I had requested support from Expedia when we were trying to find the parking lot. Expedia notified us a few days later that Tessin was going to bill us for the night we stayed and the cancelled nights after all (which they did). In other words, they did not keep their word that we would not be billed, as the front desk lady told us. Tessin Hotel left us in a precarious, dangerous situation by not having visible signage about the parking lot's whereabouts anywhere in their lobby, street, or website. Our children and I suffered severe anxiety, fearing for my husband's safety. They obviously don't care about their guests' safety, as they gladly charged my card days later. They don't honor their own promises, either. We've stayed in humble hotels in developing countries' villages, and their staff's word is their bond. We have never felt unsafe in hotels until our stay at the Tessin. We have never been treated so badly, in such a dismissive way like Tessin staff did. The hotel we stayed for the remainder of our time in Munich had visible signage on the streets and their website for their parking lot. How hard can it be?

Good value for money, along with a convenient location for bus, metro, etc etc. Good breakfast, ideal for a couple of days stay. Hotel’s on the second floor, it could be a little confusing for some people, but it has a huge sign that says hotel. Lobby staff was nice and very helpful. All in all, it was ok

Absolutely awful hotel. The room and pretty much the whole place was dirty. The location also wasn't the best. It is a bit dark around the hotel so a single woman wouldn't feel safe walking around here at night. The reception was extremely rude and unhelpful when asking any questions or trying to get help.
