Upon entering the hotel and checking in, I wanted to shower and relax a few moments before dinner. The elevators are so small only 3 people could use the at a time, with a carry on bag. I found the steampunk decor of my room somewhat silly, the chair looked like the seat from a John Deer tractor.
That evening I woke up to a spider invasion on me. I did kill them but was unable to go back to sleep. They did switch my room without hesitation, however for me the damage was done. The excuse was the window was left open, we’ll get some screens to keep the wildlife out.
We had a buffet dinner that evening and the food was canned vegetables, boxed Spatzle, and frozen pork. The following night was a touch better as the veg was grilled.
I’m 90% sure I would not go back

The hotel is in a quiet area, room was nice and decorations in the room were nice. Hot water in the shower was temperamental, bed comfortable and nice how the window can be opened for air.
Breakfast decent, hotel staff nice.
However, the restaurant for dinner was aweful. Waited for over 1.5 hours for a over cooked, hard, tasteless meal. So disappointing.
The place was not even busy.
Recommend to stay here, just eat somewhere Else....

We arrived at 6.45 pm with only about 30 minutes to refresh before dinner after travelling all day to Hotel Seminaris and our room was not ready. They had given us keys and when we went to go into the room, the beds had been slept in/ the room was not made up or ready.
After going down to reception to be given a new room - I went to the new room and it smelt so bad, like someone had just used the loo - a sewer smell.
While my friend was waiting at reception for me she overheard a couple others complain about stinky rooms too.
So back down to reception in a slow lift, I went to let them know and to change rooms. They eventually gave us a new room and this time the receptionist came up to check it didn’t stink and the key wouldn’t work, his master key didn’t even work. So he had to get a key off the cleaners.
The room was ok finally by 7.20, I went to get my bags out of the stinky room and the key wouldn’t work again. Luckily the receptionist was still on the same floor so I waved him down to get me in the room to get our bags and he walked in and said “oh it does smell.”
So finally after getting into our third room we went down for dinner as a group. It was horrible - we were served a beef broth for a starter that was very interesting, it wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either.
Dinner was some kind of bird - dry and disgusting - a ball of dry dough and some questionably tasting cabbage. Out of our whole group, barely anyone finished.
Dessert was ok - a creme brûlée, not the best, but it was edible.
After a night sleep we got up at 6am to have a shower, but there was only one towel. I went to ring reception and the phone didn’t work at all. The shower was very difficult to figure out with no explanation on how to use it anywhere but we figured it out eventually.
Just want to note we are not usually people to complain but it was just one thing after another with barely an apology. The key system needs an override as there were so many issues with others as well. Would never recommend this place, it was beyond frustrating.
