Partenkirchner Hof

I had just spent a relaxing night at the Henri Hotel. The property is conveniently located, just a short walk (5 minutes thereabout) from the train station. When you exit the station, walk straight ahead for a few minutes and the hotel is situated on your right. The hotel had undergone a recent renovation while retaining a lot of its original charm. My room was on the third floor, facing the street. It was quite stuffy at night so I had to open the window for get some air. There were some traffic noise at night but tolerable. The room is of a good size, clean and comfortable. There was a little store room (the void space under the sloping roof), which is a rather clever use of space. I noticed that within the room there are two little kerbs. I had to remind myself when entering the toilet and the store room to look down, to avoid hitting the kerb. The hotel offers guests an afternoon snack (from 5pm to 7pm) which is a nice gesture. As for Breakfast it has a moderate but good selection. Staff are friendly and helpful, they gave me good tips on restaurants and directions to Zugspitzbahn. Overall I had a wonderful stay at the Henri Hotel. Note: I was surprised that it has a small museum to tell its past and history.

Nice hotel in the center, clean, nice room, expensive parking, super breakfast, but I unfortunately forgot my cell phone charger, and no one notified me. I couldn't speak to anyone in Garmisch at the chain's central switchboard. Upon returning, I would stop by the hotel, and first they would tell me it hadn't been found, and then, after 1/2 hour, it would turn up. I could have it back if I paid for the cash-on-delivery shipping. Behavior bordering on dishonest; they had my details and could have called me because when the room was being made up, a staff member would have found it. What if I had forgotten a wallet or a document holder? Customer satisfaction less than zero. Not recommended

I had a great stay here during my time in Garmisch Partenkirchen. It is more traditional style hotel, older, but not in bad condition. The single room is small, but sufficient and comfortable. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent, internet worked just fine for what I needed, and it is an easy half mile walk to the train station. The staff speak English and were polite and accommodating from the front desk attendant to the room cleaners. There's also a little running path right outside the hotel that follows right by a stream and leads out to some fields and the olympic ski jump, very peaceful in the early mornings.
