Unfortunately, for our Booking.com reservation, we chose the "pay now" option from 8/1/2026 to 8/3/2026 and therefore could not cancel it without a financial loss. The reviews that formed the basis for choosing the hotel were very mixed. But the negative reviews suggested that we would have been better off giving this hotel a wide berth. Well, for two days it might be okay. Checking in on 8/1/2026 after an 8-hour journey was anything but pleasant. No conversation, no greeting like "did you have a good trip" or "we wish you a pleasant stay"! None at all; this is not part of the vocabulary at the hotel reception! We had trouble following the verbal explanations during check-in in "broken German." They immediately charged us an extra €10/day because we chose a room facing the quieter back of the hotel instead of a room facing the noisy street. But the sun shines on the windows/facade there all day long. The Ibis Style was a big oven during those two days. Our room was maybe 12-13 m2 big/small. There is no air conditioning. At night, all the windows in the hallways remain closed as well. As a result, the heat cannot escape from the building. It was dirty because, after all, it is no longer cleaned daily. Even a towel change is no longer provided. Because we would have had to "order/organize" all of that ourselves beforehand. There is really nothing positive—we left this building frustrated after two days.

I stayed two nights at this hotel, travelling alone and needing to work from the room. From the outside the ibis rebrand looks complete, but the interior and service do not fully live up to it yet. The WiFi was down for the entire building on the first day — reception said they were waiting for IT to fix it, and it only got resolved that evening. On the 2nd floor, where my room was, the ceilings were torn out along the whole corridor, giving the place a construction-site feel. There was also no A/C, and the walls and doors are quite thin, so noise from the corridor and neighbouring rooms was clearly audible — not ideal when trying to concentrate on work calls. The bike storage situation was the most frustrating part. I arrived after 21:00 with my road bike, having had a previous one stolen a few months earlier in broad daylight outside another hotel. I asked about secure storage, explained the situation, and even offered to pay extra, but reception simply pointed to house rules and would not budge. I ended up bringing the bike up to my room myself. I was told a manager might follow up the next day about it - nobody did. On the positive side, the bed was genuinely comfortable, and the location is hard to beat - very central and convenient for getting around. Overall, it feels like a hotel mid-transition: the ibis Styles branding is there, but the substance behind it - maintenance, amenities and guest service - still has some catching up to do.

The Ibis Styles. Rosenheim is located relatively centrally in the city center. It has a parking garage, which is, however, relatively expensive compared to other garages around it. However, you are informed of this fact at the reception. Relatively small, the bathroom as well, not usable for two people! The furnishings are functional, just as we expected! The bathrooms are clean, as is the room. Air conditioning is not available, and the rooms were very warm and stuffy. We were lucky that there was a thunderstorm in the evening, so we were able to cool the rooms down at night! The breakfast is sufficient, functional, but not a culinary highlight.
