Hotel Restaurant Cafe Uhl

On our way home from skiing we were caught in a snowstorm and had to find a hotel near the A7. We called around to a number of hotels - but only when we got the Hotel Uhl there was the willingness to solve our challenge with two rooms with short notice: “We’ll find out.” When we arrived in town we went into an adventure. The hotel is located in the old city centre and it was like driving into a whole different world. The snow had turned the city into a Christmas landscape. The room was quite unmarked. And breakfast was in special class. Hotel Uhl has its own confectionery/café. We got freshly baked butter croissants and everything else the heart could desire. Warmest recommendations from here.

This was my second stay at this hotel, so it’s time to give it a rating. It’s a very nice, clean, and quiet place, conveniently close to the heart of Rothenburg. Our group of three booked two rooms, and both were clean and comfortable. We were all very satisfied with our stay and will definitely return. The staff were friendly and competent, the parking garage across the street was reasonably priced, and the German-style breakfast was very good and met all our dietary needs.

The location of the hotel is just perfect, it couldn't get better. In the middle yet very pleasant to stay. Like in a picture, you're in the middle of it. We stayed two nights there and can only recommend the place. The rooms are not very modern but clean. Breakfast is served at the table and was good and plentiful. Family Uhl is friendly and accommodating. We had booked a garage space for our vehicle, the only downside is that you always have to pick up the key for the garage at the reception and bring it right back. If you limit yourself to the small town, you don't really need your vehicle. If you want to explore the surrounding area, this can be a little annoying. We can recommend the place and will gladly come back.
