ROTER HAHN

We stayed one night at room 308. I mention it explicitly because the room features are the reason for the bad review. I'll preface the good things about this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great, one step away from every attraction to visit. The hotel has a private parking that you can book and that allows you to have your car at hand and not be the public parking lots that can be far away. Now the reason for the bad review. The room was bad. It was located on the Third party floor but the elevator reaches the second so you have to walk a flight of stairs that with suitcases is not trivial. The room is without air conditioning and is very hot. There is a kind of fan but it does not do much good and if you open the window you do not sleep because the view is directed at a brewery whose patrons are noisy to say the least. The rooms on the first floor have air conditioning but go to know what you need to do to get one... The room is tastefully furnished 80s, with carpet and with no minibar. There are no sockets to connect a charger to the sides of the bed. The bathroom is also very dated and ours also had a huge lesion on the ceiling. The unpleasant thing is that on the site and on the various portals of the fact that there are new rooms and old rooms and that some have equipment while others mo, is never said and there is no choice.

Good food. Nice interior. Service was fast. We sat inside, it was a hot day and there was no AC. But outside we would have dealt with smoking at other tables. Sadly, that’s the situation all over Germany. Mexican food in Germany is different from Mexican food in the US. The presentation was fancy, but all the meats tasted the same to us (we had one order of chicken, one of beef, they both looked and tasted the same 🤷🏼‍♀️)

We brought a group of 39, and pre-ordered our food. This restaurant was so great. Would not change a thing about how they worked with us. The food was wonderful and the staff worked to make it perfect for our group. Don't miss this restaurant. It is off the beaten track and it is so good!! Sweet staff!
