Very romantic state 💕 We were walking in Rothenburg, my husband decided one night by surprise to stay here! It was a nice gift 💝 Staff are very kind. Breakfast is good. And... central!

There are a few things that I feel are important to know about this hotel. There is no on-site parking. You need to drive through tight quarters to drop off luggage or haul the luggage through cobblestone streets. This is a bare bones hotel. There wasn't even bottled water in the room. Beds were hard and the pillows were even worse. To add to the challenges, there was a shelf directly above the bed that we both bumped our heads on. Towels are thread bare and the breakfast poor. That said, staff was friendly and the location offers easy access to the Christmas markets. I would recommend packing your own shampoo and conditioner. We were also given a physical key which posed some challenges as we all had to share the one key and we almost forgot to lock ourselves inside at night. Overall, we woke up with sore necks and backs. The furniture desperately needs to be updated.

We were here after a visit to the beautiful Christmas market and wanted to warm up and eat well - unfortunately the food was not good. My suckling pig peel tasted strongly of pork and somehow of chemistry?! The Bavarian herb was bad and the Klös not homemade. The beer sauce was watery, tasteless and overall the portion was also small. My wife's Franconian sausages were moderately better. Although the service was friendly and dedicated, that doesn't help when the food is so bad. I got rid of the complete menu quite quickly!!! No more belt cutters...
