Best Western Schloss Reichmannsdorf

I was there for two nights for the first time and it was very good. Nice and spotlessely clean room just the bed could be more comfortable. Breakfast was very good and fresh. Parking is on site, even a garage. Staff overall friedly. Golf course looks good, but I didnt play. Definitly will be back.

I have to start off by saying this is the most unique place I have ever stayed. It is nestled in the middle of the village. As we were driving through Germany, we found this place by chance. We were lucky enough to go and have a tour of the castle which was amazing. The food was exceptional, the restaurant is set within the basement of the castle. We went the the bar after our meal and met the host called Mark and Heidi. Also, the barman Florian was amazing too! I have to say, they made our stay extra special. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. It is amazing! Thank you again!

So my partner booked us here for my birthday because it looked like we would be staying in a castle in an isolated spot with a candlelit dinner in the cellar. But the castle is nestled in the center of a village and the part of the ‘castle’ you stay in is a new wing with key cards and modern rooms. Only the restaurant is in the old castle part. Still the rooms were super comfy, well insulated and clean. No mini bar. We took a nice 5k hike through the forest near by. There is golfing. Dogs are welcome. Water in the rooms is tap water. For the dinner, we were told by the reception we could arrive at 21:00 because we had a late lunch and the kitchen didn’t close until 22:00, but when we got there the staff acted super irritated that we were there. I ordered a Caesar Salad with sauce on the side and they brought me lettuce with a sprinkle of Parmesan. No croutons no anything else...then I ordered a dessert at 21:45 and at 22:00 when I was still eating the salad they brought out the dessert and set it on the table without saying a word...it was supposed to be a rhubarb crumble but the rhubarb was cold and there was a soup in the bottom (see photo). They ended up taking it off the bill but we felt horrible. The breakfast was standard. Don’t eat the pancakes. I think if you eat pork you will enjoy very much.
