Landgasthof Raucherhansl

All the time is a joy to come to Raeucherhansl...the traditionalism of the building and the own house made "Metzegerei" (butcher shop) is combining with a modern wellness area and also very well equipped rooms. The atmosphere is friendly as being a family run business and a very warm ambiance.

This hotel is in a great location and the hotel itself is fine. Nice rooms, massive car park, decent decor etc. However when I ate in the restaurant, the waitress didn't smile even when I did and was surly and rude. When I said thank you, she never did. The soup was nice, though I had to ask for bread. It arrived, stale with frozen butter. The main course was nice, but the huge factor which spoiled it for me was just how incredibly ignorant the waitress was. She disappeared for 15 minutes at a time an no-one was able to find her. No smiles, no thank you or anything. She has a permaneant sulk and NEVER smiles. When I asked for a copy of the bill (nicely and with a smile I might add), she got quite shirty saying that I could wait until tomorrow and walked off, ignoring me. Unbelievable. I waited another 10 minutes whilst a member of staff tried to find her. From what I understand, even the staff find her difficult to deal with. This member of staff will spoil your experience. The other guests in the restaurant were making jokes about her attitude, which is not flattering for the hotel. Clearly she hates her job and thinks serving customers is beneath her. The young lady on reception was fine, with good customer service skills and very efficient. She is an asset and the waitress could learn something (rather a lot) from her. My advice would be to eat out as Dingolfing is only 3 km's away.
