Parkhotel Maximilian

Stayed for 2 nights during the hot spell. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the family room had a large balcony overlooking the pool. Bathroom and shower excellent. The breakfast was delicious and we treated ourselves to dinner also which was also a very high standard. The park surroundings are very pleasant and we enjoyed the pool, though didn't try the Gym or Solarium. We chose this to be close to Memmingen airport for our return flight. It would have been nice to have had aircon but we survived. There was a misunderstanding when we got home as we'd been charged for two breakfasts but this was quickly put right by the hotel Highly recommended

I had booked a stopover at the Parkhotel Maximilian as part of a business trip. Due to a last-minute schedule change, I had to postpone my stay one day before arrival and requested a goodwill arrangement or a hotel voucher for a later stay. Unfortunately, the hotel showed no interest in a customer-oriented solution. The stay was fully charged, even though only a few hours passed between the original booking and the schedule change. Even the booked breakfast was fully charged without any goodwill... The management was unavailable for clarification. Such a rigid approach is rather unusual. The hotel did not incur any recognizable financial damage due to the schedule change. It is all the more regrettable when the value of a long-term customer relationship is clearly overshadowed by short-term revenues. It's a pity – because it is precisely in such situations that the importance of hospitality and customer loyalty truly becomes evident.

The hotel is beautifully nestled on the edge of the forest, where one can enjoy peace, relaxation, and recovery. The food is also wonderful, and we enjoyed it very much. Not to forget, the large and diverse breakfast buffet pleased us very much. The spa offers many options; I personally booked a massage twice: TOP. The spa area as well as the hotel are stylish and equipped with fine materials. One feels very comfortable here! ...except when there are children, and that noise is not needed by man and woman. I believe that small children simply do not belong in a 4-star superior spa. That would merely be a matter of upbringing and has nothing to do with the hotel. Parents should please go to family hotels, that way everyone is happy in the end; those who want to scream and the others who seek peace :-). The staff is always attentive and very friendly. In just a few minutes' walk through the powerful park, one reaches the beautiful basilica and the marketplace with small shops and restaurants. We liked it so much that we will come back again this year!
