Frankenwald

We had an air-conditioned room in the Gutenberghof with a modern bathroom. Breakfast on the large, green terrace or in the wonderful pastry shop is varied, with, among other things, various types of tea, coffee, delicious fruit salad, and fresh egg dishes. We especially liked the good selection of cheeses. The hotel is owner-managed, and you can feel this individuality in a positive way.

Our entire experience at Hotel Frankenbach was perfect from start to finish. Communication when booking the room was friendly and warm, and upon arrival we were greeted by name. This attention to detail gave such a personal touch — one felt instantly valued and at ease. The room was spacious, well designed, in wonderful condition, and absolutely immaculate — not a speck of dust in sight. It had been preheated to a very comfortable temperature, and the area was wonderfully quiet, allowing us to sleep beautifully. Breakfast the next morning in the traditional Konditorei was delicious, high quality, and varied. Other highlights include the hotel’s authentic feel: family-owned over multiple generations and very classic for the region. For those travelling through the German wine regions, this is a strong recommendation — a wonderful introduction to German hospitality, possibly its pinnacle. Many thanks!

All attractions are within walking distance. Perfect for a weekend trip by bus and train or Rhine ferry.
