Mercure Hotel Muenchen Schwabing

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at the Mercure Hotel Munich Schwabing. The hotel is well-located, my room was clean, and the air conditioning worked excellently in the high temperatures. Especially during the heatwave, that was a real plus. A note for future guests: The rooms have electric exterior blinds that apparently operate automatically, likely depending on the sunlight. In my case, they raised themselves automatically around 6:30 AM. The noise is quite noticeable and woke me up. If you know this, you can open the blinds before going to sleep and won't be surprised in the morning. My only real criticism is the breakfast. I find 22 euros per person to be significantly too expensive for what is offered. The selection is decent and tastes completely fine, but the meats and cheeses seem more like standard products from the supermarket. The rolls also remind me of frozen baked goods. With the scrambled eggs, I could not tell whether they were made from fresh eggs or liquid egg. Especially at this price, I would wish for a stronger emphasis on regional products. A collaboration with a local bakery and regional producers would significantly enhance the breakfast and would justify the price much better in my view. Overall, it is a good hotel with clean rooms, good air conditioning, and a convenient location. However, I see significant potential for improvement at breakfast.

Hotel with an excellent location for visiting the city, 5 minutes on foot from the Muenchen Freiheit subway station, well-arranged double room, good cleanliness, and good breakfast in the morning I would return!

This hotel is located in a busy area suitable for business travelers. Rooms are compact and clean. Food is ok.
