Hotel Restaurant Cafe Neu Meran

This hotel has incredible mountain views from the balcony and restaurant terrace. You look out over the Preaching Chair, the mountain with the oldest aerial cable car in the world. The food was always delicious both in the evening in the restaurant and at breakfast. Very great was the Weinstüberl : )

I stayed 5 nights in July, I arrived at 5 pm on Saturday: the room was absolutely great but infested with butterflies and flies: the windows were not closed and lights were on... they had to clean it again once we complained. the last day, they did not do the cleaning although we put the sign to clean the room. We were given some towels by the restaurant for the night. Staff was nice and apologetic, we were announced a possible discount. Unfortunately, when checking out on the following day, the big boss was not there and the promise remained a promise... what a treatment! very disappointing. Additionally, without a car, I would not recommend this hotel as quite far from center walking. Speaking about the parking, this is quite busy as customers from the restaurant are also using it... so as a conclusion, staff nice, view nice the rest was not a great experience, still waiting for my announced discount... lol

Today my husband and I had a dinner at the restaurant Neu Meran. The food was great, service however was somewhat questionable. Last year we stayed for a week in Bad Reichenhall and had a few dinners in Neu Meran - everething was just perfect. This time we came again to Bad Reichenhall and decided to have a dinner in Neu Meran. Food was great but when we paid our bill a strange thing happened. Waitress Ramona didn't bring our change, and when we asked her to, she asked us 'Wie viel?' and we found ourselves in an awkward situation forced to calculate how much tips we want to leave and how much change we need. It was about 73€ bill and we paid with a 100€ note. As far as I understand the process, the client first recieves ALL the change and then decides about the tips, not the other way around. Besides 40% tips is a bit too much even for a great service.
