Spundloch- das Hotel & Weinrestaurant

We were here for dinner, unfortunately we were not satisfied. The must soup was tasteless from the scrubber and the cinnamon of the coutons was not noticeable. The soup was just frothy. The whole Spessart trout milliner type fried in almond butter with salt potatoes was very juicy but the skin was not large and you didn't notice anything of the butter. The dialogue of salmon trout and pike perch fillet on leaf spinach with wild rice mixture and Silvaner sauce was unfortunately still roasted. The mousse au chocolate of dark chocolate and the oven-fresh apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and cream was fine

We jad a two night stay here on our way back from Italy, and we wanted to stay close to Main and not far from Wurtzburg, and this is a very good place to stay. There is no parking at the hotel, but you can unload and load your luguage in front og the Hotel, after recieving a sign from to reception to plave in your front window. Then you can use the car park just a short walk from the Hotel. The room was located on the second floor, there a two floors with 4 rooms on each and then #27is on it's own at the very top. It was very warm when we visited and the stiarcase is extremely hot, and so is the rooms. But ther is a large window than can open, so fresh air can get into the room. We stayed in room #26 overlooking the garden restaurant, it was nicely decorated, and not very long ago it seemed. The bathroom spacious and nice. Handsoap and showergel/shampoo available. Two bottles of complimentary water was on teh small desk. Televisin and free Wi-Fi. The only thing we found extremely strange was that staying two nights you would expect someone to make your bed and check the bathroom, but no that was not the case. First time in my experience as a traveller, l do hope they normally do so and this was just a case of forgetting us. Apar from that we would gladly return, it is a very nice town.

This was a typical German guest house and a great first place to stay. The people were very friendly and accommodating. Wifi and breakfast was included which made it a perfect place to stay. We even had dinner there the first night.
