Hotel Pension Messe

first its expensive for such a place. the rooms very small and dirty and were smelling very bad it was smelling like weed no wifi no airconditionair no heat and everything was dirty the stuff its very rude no one speak english and they are very agressive as well no hot water and the toilets make a very weird sound

Me and my father stayed here for 3 nights, especially to take part in the Bridgestone Berlin 10K. The hotel is easy to get to from Tegel Airport, just one bus ride away. Be aware the reception is only “open” until 10pm- we emailed the hotel as were due to arrive after 10pm. There is a night safe outside they put your key and details in. The room itself was ok. Basic. Beds were comfortable and it appeared clean. There is a TV in the room and a wardrobe. Our room was facing the main road and was very very noisy. Breakfast was continental, did have a selection of yoghurts, Ham, cheese, bread, cereals and juices. In regards to location, it is in a good location. Public transport around Berlin is great, the hotel isn’t far from bus stops or the underground. We stayed here especially to take part in the Berlin Bridgestone 10K- the hotel was a short walk from Charlottenburg palace where the start line was so this was handy. Unfortunately we did not feel safe leaving our luggage behind the “front desk” as it was often unmanned and anyone could just take our luggage, we had a late flight so had to make other arrangements. Overall, it was an okay hotel, basic but was a room to sleep in overnight!

The room was small, it smelled bad with dirty carpet and chair. NO HOT WATER . and woken 6.30 am in the morning by workmen shouting and banging outside of the property installing air condition units. Rude staff not speaking English.
