Great hardware, but the software has weaknesses. The functions of friendliness, hospitality, and service orientation are disabled. We have never experienced such unfriendly staff! This impression remains!

I visited the Congress Hotel Potsdam for one night and overall had a pleasant stay. What particularly stood out to me was the friendly and professional reception at the front desk. The check-in process was straightforward, warm, and very pleasant. I also found the underground garage to be practical and well usable, which is not a given for hotels of this size. My room had a modern and well-maintained appearance. The bed was comfortable, the room was sufficiently large, and overall clean. The bathroom appeared modern and functionally designed. The hallways and public areas also made a tidy and well-kept impression. The large hotel bear in the entrance area also creates a friendly first impression. However, upon closer inspection, some minor cosmetic flaws become noticeable, especially in the bathroom. These did not affect my stay, but could receive a bit more attention as part of ongoing maintenance. Carpet in hotel rooms is certainly a matter of taste. The hotel is very large and clearly geared towards conferences and congresses. As a result, everything appears professionally organized, but one should not expect any special privacy. Depending on the room location, the building parts are quite close to each other, so balconies and windows sometimes have direct visual contact with each other. For my short stay, this was not a problem; however, those who place particular value on privacy or an unobstructed view should take this into account. Since I arrived only in the evening and am leaving again the next morning, I cannot evaluate the breakfast. Overall, the positive impression clearly outweighs any negatives for me. Friendly staff, clean rooms, a convenient underground garage, and an overall cohesive package make the Congress Hotel Potsdam a good choice for business travelers, conference guests, and short stays.

Although it has only 4 floors, the hotel is certainly more rooms than you might think. The booked room appeared quite generous. A direct booking via the website failed 2 times. In the end, therefore, bookings were made by telephone. However, the extra services parking and breakfast were significantly too expensive. This is especially true for breakfast (EUR 22 per adult), which included a small selection of "allergy products", but is highly expandable in the cereal sector. In particular, it was not possible to obtain fresh whole milk with the cereals! This is no longer acceptable at the price mE. Note: Young people up to the age of 15 pay only half at breakfast. However, the mixed choice (adult / teenager) was practically not possible when booking a double room online.
