My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a long weekend during the Berlin Marathon weekend. The hotel is large and the rooms are big and very comfortable. We were upgraded to an extra large deluxe room and it was enormous. The hotel also put on a buffet for the weekend of the marathon for no extra charge. The service was excellent and the best bit was probably the location - it’s in the heart of West Berlin, close to all the major shops and within walking distance of the historical sights. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This was the 3rd time we went there. We stayed for 3 weeks. Unfortunately wasn’t the same as before. Management had changed, they were renovating and many many things weren’t in order. The new staff members at the reception, beside one person, were not friendly, weren’t helpful, weren’t well informed. Whatever was asked, their reply was „ I don’t know“. There was no management with the housekeeping. The housekeeping was awful. We had to constantly ask our bed sheets to be changed, ask for toiletries like soap, body lotion.... . There was no shampoo. This had never happened before. Everything used to be done automatically without asking. The breakfast was good but not worth 19 Euro per day. The breakfast hours should have been a little longer. If you went after 8:30, not much was left & had to ask for things. The bar & the restaurant were good, very nice & friendly staff. Overall, it wasn’t the same as before , which is a shame. Their price has gone higher but their service has gone down. It is a 4 star hotel but this time I will rate it as a 3 star hotel.

Friends recommended the place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Location is great, no complaints there. Room was a decent size. Bed a bit too firm for me. Shower had plenty of pressure and hot water, but wasn't in best location: mid way down length of bath, with glass panel extending to half length of bath. So, very easy to splash all over the bathroom. Liked the DAB radio. Tiny tv, but didn't matter to us as didn't use it. Biggest disappointment was lack of tea/coffee facilities in room. Something we would always expect in 4 star hotel.
