Gastehaus 1a Apartment Berlin

I wanted to spend a nice holiday with my family, but the staff (I think the owner) was extremely rude. So the first impression = bad. I checked in, I went to the airport to pick up my family, leave the luggage and go to have dinner. When we were eating I get a message through booking.com (it was the owner) I have attached the picture on this review. Extremely rude, I thought it was a joke. I’ve never refuse to pay. I wanted to pay after dinner and he say “we are not 24 hour pension”. And he get into the room without our permission (I guess to check If we were in). The following days, the housekeeper’s only job is empty the bin and switch off the heater. Not brush the floor, make the bed or clean the toilet a bit (Now even more with COVID). Also I booked an apartment and they gave me a triple room with a tiny toilet (a big person doesn’t fit in that toilet) really claustrophobic. First floor facing the noisy street having a really bad sleep. Check out was at 11am, we went to have breakfast before, leaving the luggage in the room, and already was blocked the code to get into the apartment through the main door! Don’t worry, we won’t come back to that place never again and I don’t recommend to anyone at all.

You see beautiful pictures and not a cheap price. For that, you expect something, at least, as you see on the photos. But the standards are completely destroyed. Small rooms with bad interior inside. The floor is almost destroyed. The bathroom is smaller than 2 meters in a long. And less than a 1m in a wide. So, why I rate as 2 stars. Because when I have told the staff, that it is not good to lie to people and completely ruin their expectations, After 30 minutes of the discussion agreed to give at 40€ difference and change towels(that like from prison, in the beginning). Or they said, they can check out(on the last day, in Berlin — it was a blackmail). Stay at this hotel only if you don't have a choice. In other case, you can always find a better hotel in Eastern Berlin to stay. I wish, I had the opportunity to attach more photos here to describe the disappointment of my parents and me.

Tried to book a room, I got a very rude person on the phone when I called up. Didn't bother to book and instead looked elsewhere. Suggestion to the owner - be more polite with your potential customers.
