Hotel Alexander Berlin

Had a fine stay in total with some downsides. There's no reception at the hotel, so you do the check-in yourself at a machine right next to the door. It was quick and easy. My room was clean and modern, yet very small. I had a single room, which has the size of a holding cell. I only stayed for a night, which was fine, but I wouldn't return, as the room was massively overpriced. The bigger rooms seem nicer though.

This was a great place to stay and in such a lovely little street. We needed a hotel near an 80th birthday party and it worked a treat. You need to know that there is a self-check in process which means you don't walk up to a desk and chat with the receptionist. But the process works, and is efficient. I was a bit worried about it, but it was all easy and fine. I had a few questions and emailed beforehand ( and indeed during) our stay and got prompt, helpful and lovely replies. Berlin is huge and there is no real centre, so pic somewhere nice and be prepared to travel across a lot of town to see what you want. This really well managed and thought out hotel works as a great base. The room we had was on the ground floor, nicely spacious and just a great base. Thanks especially to Kristina for making our stay very good. PS there is no food available in the hotel but a lot of good coffee and cake places for morning stuff and a range of restaurants within a few minutes walk for evenings. For lunch I recommend a tiny Greek deli/eatery. Go right out of the hotel and a block or so away you will find it.

We (my wife and I) were staying in Berlin for the birth of my granddaughter, and we found Boutique hotel Kerlin because of the proximity to my daughter's home. We've booked a room for the whole month of July. We discovered a wonderful place, managed by the friendly Kristina, who have helped us with all our requests. We got a nice big room that was fit exactly for our needs of staying a whole month and became almost our home, with fast internet Wi-Fi in the rooms and even a small kitchen in the hallway for the use of all guests on the floor. The hotel fits all kind of travelers, those who come for brief time or like us for a month. It is situated very central in Charlottenburg, close to the center (20 min walk to the Ka De We) with many restaurants around or supermarkets (Netto/Lidal) and public transportation (from Olivar place). We will definitely use this hotel again and refer it to our friends and family who will come to visit Berlin.
