Hotel Concorde Berlin

Excellent hotel for a business stay. Large and clean rooms, good continental breakfast and close to public transportation

A hotel that was once luxury, today it is just a shop that wants to do business without service, ideally even without customer contact. Example: The minibar in the room is naturally not stocked; the guest must then go to the lobby and can purchase something at a wooden stand. That is youth hostel level. Breakfast room completely overcrowded in the morning; here, pre-packaged vending machine food would be a real (even cheaper) alternative. Another example (the highlight!): I had forgotten my electric toothbrush (EUR 30.00) in the bathroom, quickly wrote to the hotel, only to be directed without comment to a dubious website that wants EUR 40.00 for shipping. Why do hotels do that? Surely to give the guest the wonderful feeling of being superfluous and a nuisance to the smooth business operation. That has nothing to do with a hotel and hospitality; that is at an AI level, where the human becomes superfluous.

The layout of the room was efficient and great. The bed was comfortable. Besides some noise during the night on Fridays it was pretty quiet where I had my allocated room. Room was cleaned every two days, plenty. Breakfast was good but got a bit boring after a while. The steam room was out of order but sauna was nice. The gym is very minimal.
