Penthouse-Apart Checkpoint Charlie

We stayed 4 nights. Actually this place was a flat with one bedroom and a big room with open kitchen at The one end, a sofa and a flat cable tv on another. Kitchen was well equipped for 5 people. Wi fi was very effective, which is very important not only for children but also for businessmen I think. Every need can be supplied within 100 meters of walk. Flat was located in The middle of two U Bahn stations which you can reach by 100 meters walk and easily travel to wherever you want with the excellent metro network of the City. If you want to enjoy Berlin city this is an excellent location to start and stay. Within 3 minutes of walking distance there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. In short I strongly recommend this place to my friends who will stay in Berlin more than one day.

I rented this apartment for a business trip to Berlin and brought my wife and daughter with me. Since there is no reception in the building where the apartment is located, an appointment for the key handover at the apartment is being made as soon as you booked. We were handed out keys by a friendly man who waited for us at the apartment and he explained all we needed to know and answered our questions patiently. The apartment is well-equiped, it even has a dish washer and a washing machine, the beds are very comofrtable and very important, it was very clean. Since I was in Berlin for business I booked the WiFi internet to be able to make business video calls to Australia and America. The WiFi internet connection was very good. The location of the apartment is really perfect. I was able to reach the office at Marktgrafenstrasse in only 10 minutes and my wife and daughter were able to reach most well-known sights onfoot. Across the street of the apartment is a lovely bakery shop (Steinecke), where you can have a wonderful breakfast or lunch. Next time when I will be in Belrin for business again I will definately rent this apartment again instead of a hotelroom.

As soon as we booked we got an email explaining how to check in, and also a phone call to arrange check in times etc. We were greeted at the apartment when we arrived by a lovely guy who showed us the apartment, took our payment and gave us keys. The apartment is fantastic, plenty of space and everything we needed in the kitchen. Decent sized bathroom (shower over bath) with a washing machine. Stayed 4 nights and found it so much better than staying at a hotel. Travelling with my elderly father who has trouble with stairs so were pleased the elevator works really well (it's quite a modern building, unlike a lot of other apartments available), and also a short walk to the metro stop (Kochstrasse/Checkpoint Charlie) and an elevator there to get to the platform. Apartment was quiet considering it is so close to everything, and was very comfortable. Supermarkets and restaurants are walking distance. Highly recommend!
