Potsdamer Hof Berlin Am Potsdamer

We booked quite late and this hotel was the most affordable place at a good location. However, in hindsight a more expensive place would have been better. This felt more like a hostel: it was very old, there was no air conditioning or fan, beds weren't next to each other, window could not fully open and it could have been cleaner. Women behind the counter were helpful though.

We stayed for 4 nights as a gang of 24 on a stag weekend which served its purpose. Not somewhere to take the other half away to. It is totally basic but that said the room on arrival was clean with comfy bed and a decent shower, there was a breakfast of sorts included and also wi-fi. The location was great for a number of Berlin's main attractions.

The fact that they are calling this place a hotel is highly deceiving for guests, they better call it a Motel or a student residence but definitely not a 4 hotel and for a 77 Euros per night. The “hotel” is occupying one floor in the building, and when we reached we had no choice but to stay as we would have lost almost all the money if we cancelled at the moment. Most irritating was the fact that the bed blanket was not changed from the previous guest and I could already see some hair on the blanket which was really disgusting. Breakfast was very poor and I can say the only positive thing was the location which is very near to Potsdamer Platz and with bus stop in front of it. Terrible experience.
