the Hotel is terrible!!! is impossible to speak English with the reception! they change the price due to the German holiday and football match! in my room there were no Wi-Fi connection, asked several time to the reception and the answer was that they can do nothing!!! the building is very old and the courtyard is in an abandoned state. the room was very stinky. the shower was not working properly, you can choose frozen water of boiled no way to choose the right temperature! the parking place for the car is not accessible for normal/big car and the reception advise you only when you arrive telling you that you can park on the street! Reception is open till 20,00 o'clock if you want to arrive later need to agree before.

This plain and quiet 40 bed pension in an old area to the north of Prenzlauer Berg is situated near Weissensee (one of Berlin's beautiful swimming lakes), and is also close to a number of useful trams into central Berlin and elsewhere. It has an Aldi shop round the corner and a small market and cinema near the tram stop. It is clean with comfortable beds and en suite shower rooms, and offers a good self-service breakfast. No frills such as fitness rooms, saunas, lounges, bedside phones etc but the service (German & Russian) is nice and there are no surprise extra costs. TVs are rather outdated but free WI Fi compensates for this. A good sign is that this unpretentious pension is used by visiting Germans themselves.

being a group, the rooms we had were quite small, besides the 1 bathroom for 5 persons where we had to have to a timetable to accomodate all. We had no instructions, i.e phone or contact numbers in case of emergency from rooms to reception, which was only open till 21.00. On a positive note breakfast was HILARIOUS!!! everything fresh, well displayed & abundant!!!
