Fine beds, a clean room, quiet surroundings, friendly and helpfull staff, a boattrip on the Dahme behind the hotel). Wlan in the lobby, public transport to the city centre is ok. Excellent price/value. It helped us to succesfully run the marathon!

So the hostel is a bit further from the city than I had imagined, about 45 min to the city center, and a couple people on the staff were rather snotty, but over all the room was nice, the bed was one of the better ones I had on the trip, and the area around it has a few places to eat and a store to stock up on food or whatever one would need for a trip.

First of all im writing just as soon as ive got here because the reviews I read before I got here paint this place with such a bad picture. When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that all the negative reviews are unwarranted. I was greeted by a young man as soon as I entered the building who was very polite and informative. And when I got to my double room it is bigger than 4 star hotel rooms I have booked im the past with a comfier bed. The carpet is stained sligntly but still very well kept and comfortable besides that. it has a tv with many plugs to charge my phone etc. A modern flat screen tv. A Wardrobe I could easily fit in myself stood up, its own sink and mirror. And a HUGE window that opens FULLY. (Had to emphasise this as some reviews say they dont open etc) The showers have no curtains but each cubicle has a corner and the shower room is lockable. My only downs on this place are that its 30mins from Berlin centre (but its not advertised as being close so thats not a down to everyone) And the towels they provide dont fit around my size 34 waist. All in all wholly recommendable. And did I mention the view of the river is fantastic and its a great place to wind down with a drink on a hot day. -Andrew Liston
