Attention, change of management likely since spring 2026! After arriving at the hotel and standing in line at the reception, they explained to us everything that was broken and unusable (elevator, both existing pools...). At least they offered us the option to cancel free of charge. After some time to think, we accepted the offer and left again without ever having checked into the hotel room, partly because everything in the hotel's entrance area was strange during our short stay: The reception was bombarded with complaints; some guests canceled due to dirty and moldy rooms. Others were turned away despite having a booking due to alleged overbooking. The hotel was unreachable even beforehand (phone numbers listed on the internet are "no longer in service"). The local tourist information office could only provide us with a (cell?) number for an employee, which already seemed very strange to us, but at least it was confirmed to us that the wellness area we were interested in was open and usable (which turned out to be incorrect a few hours later upon arrival!). We always loved coming to this hotel under the old management; the development under the new management is very disappointing and a real shame. We have not received our money back yet.

This hotel has been taken over by a new group Sunday Hotels from July 2026. My only advice is never stay here. They have downgraded from a four star hotel (which was awarded to the previous owners) dramatically. The place is filthy, understaffed ,and the rooms are only cleaned every other day. No laundry service. The pools and Spa are full of mould and freezing cold. They are not being repaired for over a month. We moved hotels and we were refunded two out of our four day booking because the hotel said themselves that ours was “an unacceptable experience.”

We find the concept of combining vacation homes and apartments with the amenities of a hotel absolutely charming and sensible. The direct location on Lake Schwielowsee makes this resort a gem - if only it were spruced up and maintained that way. At first glance you think "hey, I want to be here," but when you look closer, you unfortunately no longer do. The small harbor looks completely run-down, the boats unkempt, the lawn around it unmowed, the buildings unused for years. The small restaurant right by the water could be a gold mine, but it is not in operation and would need to be lovingly restored. It is the same situation with the vacation homes. A thorough renovation is urgently needed here: Curtains are torn down, lamps do not work, shower heads are heavily calcified, vents are uncleaned. Such a shame, as the layout of the houses and the ample space simply invite you to linger with the family. Breakfast and dinner are like the hustle and bustle in a pigeon coop. The staff is certainly trying, but all in all, there is no comfort factor here either. Be careful if you really want to "vacation" here.
