HEP Hotel Berlin

Never stay there!!! 1. I needed twin bed but accidentally booked a single room then straight away I have called them and informed them that I booked it accidentally. Then I booked another one with twin bed (for 2 persons). I understand that bookings were non refundable but humanly I was expecting from them to cancel the first one because I have booked the second one in their hotel not in other hotel. They did not cancel it and charged me for the both rooms. I have called booking.com customer service several times. Spent about 30 euros on the phone call (from Poland to London) but without success. Booking customer service is useless in such situations, they could not do anything. Next time I will not use booking com any longer because customers are not protected in your system. Everyone can make accidental mistakes, customer should be given a chance to correct his mistakes. Booking should allow customer to cancel any booking after some time (30 minutes) for example if it was made by mistake. 2. In fact I was not given the keys of second room but was charged for it. 3. When I have asked receptionist about state of the second room she said in russian "головой надо было думать" (you needed to think with your head not in other part of body), "наплевать мне на вас" (f*ck off, I don't care about you). She were russian her name was Leyla. Note that I did not said anything bad to her, just was asking "what is the status of second booking". I have asked about the meeting with manager she replied that "manager is not available". Next day when she was replaced by a guy in reception (again russian) I have asked about the manager he also said that manager is not available. I have told him the story related to that girl seems he was not surprised, He was aware of behavior of such girl. So it is seems this hotel is belongs to russians and they dont care at all to their customers, they are even hurting them during the usual communication. This hotel is just a group of "scammers".

I honestly don't get the bad reviews. I'm currently staying at this hotel and I was apprehensive after some of the moaning on here. However, it's totally fine. Big rooms, clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Great location to jump on the U5 too. Start being more realistic and less moaning!

We went to Berlin on short notice for business. It was the cheapest hotel by far for booking it last minute. However, we failed to see the location. It was 30 minutes away from Alexanderplatz, but it looked like it took us for ever. The hotel gives you a weird vibe the moment you go in, but I have to say that it is quite decent. It is exactly the way you see it in pictures, only the rooms are a lot brighter. The room was always clean and quite spacious, which I liked a lot. Other than that, there's a supermarket nearby and a few other stores. Honestly, nothing else around.
