hotel friends Darmstadt Mathildenhohe

This boutique hotel is within walking distance to the historic Mathildenhoe Arts Colony via paths through the neighborhood apartments, avoiding street traffic. Rooms are large and comfortable. Took airport shuttle, then cab to this location, which is not in the center of town. Be sure and buy the breakfast as well.

I stayed in this hotel two nights for a business meeting in Darmstadt. I wasn't expecting much of a hotel on the Darmstadt ring road which it was chosen only because it had vacancies. I stayed in room number 1 which had also a small kitchen. Extra large rooms with a lot of space and a table (in the kitchen) where to work. Unfortunately the room was at the garden level and not so bright; moreover the room was not provided of AC. Nice breakfast with extended hours. Wifi connection was good (guests can request more username/password for multi device connection). The price (86 euro) was honest

Wasn't expecting much of a hotel on the Darmstadt ring road which I only chose because it had vacancies, but it proved comfortable and friendly. Decent value for money and about 30 mins walk from the centre of town. Slightly odd breakfast arrangements (no bread), but not at all bad.
