Tricky to find the entance to the hotel - you only get your Eyes on the big moskue right next door. No prayers shouted from the moskue during our stay though. Clean rooms, good beds. Very nice breakfast was including- one of the best i've had actually. Close by is a big shopping centre. restaurant didn't have many choices but pizza and the schnitzel we had was very good. I would go here again if i'm around

We stayed here as part of a large group because it was close to an event that we were going to. We wished after the fact that we checked out the place beforehand. In the end, 7 people from our group left that we know of. Of those 7 people, 4 of them were in rooms with stained carpets and that generally looked worse for wear. The others including myself and my husband were in rooms that renovated, instead of carpet there was laminate floor and it looked generally clean. However, both of us had massive dust allergies afterwards, even in spite of take allergy medication beforehand, which gave me the impression that the bedding had been laying there for weeks since whenever they had used the room last. The beds themselves were really odd too. In our “double room”, there were two beds, one which was probably 120 centimeters and the other 90. They were apart from each other and even if you pushed them together you would not really sharing a bed because of the height difference of several centimeters! Breakfast was very poor, even for the price of €4.80 a person. I would have preferred a roll and tea from one of the fast-food bakeries you get here. The rolls were soggy, the eggs were disgusting, cold and swimming in fat. The cold cuts were okay, but it would have been better if they focused on having few better quality items rather than as much as possible. The only really good point was that the Wifi was good. All and all one night was more than enough and we were happy that we decided to go somewhere else. We would not go there again and would not recommend going there to anyone else.

I was in Germany on business in Egelsbach and was unable to stay at my usual hotel as it was booked up during the book fair. I ended up there because other hotels closer with rooms open were very expensive that week, but the Reuterhof was still reasonably priced. The building seems to have been built for another purpose (possibly offices) and converted to a hotel. They seemed to be trying to get rid of the 'institutional' look with bright colours and a wall in the breakfast room painted to look like a landscape, but it still retains an institutional feel. But at least it is clean and tidy. Every room is en-suite. The rooms were large, but the shower room was very small. Given how large the room was I was surprised the shower room was so cramped as they could have easily extended into the room space without making the bedroom feel small. The bed was comfortable and the heating adequate. Really appreciated the fee wifi. Also appreciated the efforts of the staff. It was obvious that non-german speakers stay there only rarely, and the staff didn't speak much English, but they really tried. Between my very basic German and their limited English we were able to understand each other. And they were very helpful. I had left my phone at the breakfast table, when I realised I called, and they had already spotted it and kept it behind the front desk for me until I returned that night.
