You will find the hotel almost in front of the train station... Provided you take the right exit because otherwise the GPS will drive you crazy after the main exit, no doubt due to the numerous construction works, scaffolding, and inaccessible sidewalks in front of the station in July 2026. The hotel itself is not on a very glamorous street and the facade is not very dreamy, but you are reassured as soon as you reach the reception. Very friendly welcome (and the service lady spoke French), clean rooms, comfortable bedding. Good little three-star hotel, functional but pleasant, with a decent breakfast included. Overall, good value for money and a recommendable hotel.

I stayed at Hotel Cristall for one night in September. The location is great, right by the Hauptbanhof. Staff was friendly. The breakfast was basic but acceptable. The breakfast space is too small for the number of guests, unfortunately, but they also don't let you take it back to the room... annoying. For some reason, they gave me a huge bottle of water, though the tap water is just fine. They should end that practice. No English TV channels seemed to be functioning. Bring earplugs! I was hearing comings and goings in the hallway throughout the night.

The hotel was pleasant, and the staff was helpful. The location was convenient and close to the train station. The neighborhood did not have many close by restaurants they were all two blocks or more away, and many were closed. The area got a little dicey after dark with a lot of open drug use around the station.
