Ibis Frankfurt Friedensbrucke

The rooms seem to be getting smaller and smaller. But regardless, the hotel is barely a 10-minute walk from the main train station and the trip is worth it. Very friendly reception, beautiful location right on the Main river (across the street), nice little bar with, once again, very friendly service. You can treat yourself to a nightcap or a little something to eat there in the evening. They also put a few tables out on the street, but with uncomfortable little benches; it is more comfortable sitting inside. The room was small, the bathroom even smaller, but you are only in there to sleep anyway. Absolutely OK for the price. People with a larger build should explicitly ask about the room size.

Easily accessible from Frankfurt HBF about a ten minute walk (S8 or 9 from Airport) Room okay apart from the "micro bathrooms" as previously alluded to. Could do with Tea & Coffee making facilities in the rooms - there is space to provide such a facility plus a small fridge. REWE Supermarket about 10 min walk for supplies. Breakfast was okay 17 Euros if you have to pay - could do with a few more Hot Items particularly bacon. Orange Juice is like squash. Despite there being a cigarette machine in reception the provision for smokers is very poor no seating or benches in the allocated area. Staff we all very helpful and friendly.

Acceptable stay. The location by the river is lovely and seems to be away from the crazy stuff happening outside the train station. Check in was fine, but I was ignored at the bar whilst trying to get my welcome drink so gave up and went upstairs. The soundproofing of the rooms isn’t great but I still had an acceptable sleep. I wouldn’t mind coming back to this hotel.
