Kempinski Hotel Gravenbruch

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The room was so nice with a huge bed and a bigger bathroom. It was quiet and there was a nespresso mashine in the room. Everything was very clean. We had a couple of issues which were fast an efficient solved. Definately a hotel to go to. We can highly recommend it

It is exceptionally spacious and resembles an outdoor pool more than a hotel pool due to its size. Accordingly, the crowd was also quite large. Almost all of the around 200 loungers were occupied or at least reserved with towels – a practice that is unfortunately widespread here as well. Finding a spot in the shade is therefore more a matter of luck. There is generally a service at the pool, but it was rarely present. Presumably, the staff is simply overwhelmed during peak occupancy. Otherwise, the stay was pleasant as usual. However, this time we were disappointed by the restaurant. The wait times were long, and the quality of the food was more in line with that of a fast food place than that of a hotel in this category. It was also somewhat confusing how the lounge was handled. Although it exists, we were not informed about it at all during check-in. As a Gold member, I would have at least expected to be informed about its existence and the respective access conditions.

The sauna is very expensive for non guests (69€) The quality is completely out of proportion. 2 of the 4 saunas were out of service. Having a drink brought to your table proved impossible. Ordinary lager was not in stock, Finnish sauna worn.......
