Mercure Hotel Frankfurt City M

To start, the receptionist was kind and helpful. The room #605 was older and very small, the bathroom door had no lock. Hotel rooms should not have carpeting, this is not hypoallergenic. On the other hand, the breakfast was good with a nice variety. The woman preparing the breakfast did an excellent job.

Stayed for three nights. Although it’s close to some of the touristy areas of Frankfurt (Römerberg, the cathedral, botanic gardens, etc.) it’s not as n a great neighborhood and there is obvious drug use that makes it feel a bit unsafe. That said, it’s immediately across the street from the main train station which is really convenient. There are also quite a few good restaurants in the immediate vicinity and as you walk towards Römer. Rooms were okay and clean enough but certainly not great. In room coffee k cup machine was nice. Breakfast was varied and of high quality although probably not worth the price paid. Easier than wandering out to find something I suppose No gym or other amenities and not the friendliest staff, but they were efficient and pleasant enough. In spite of the less desirable neighborhood I’d stay there again, both for the location and price paid. Would not recommend solo female travelers stay here though.

Horrible experience! 561 chf paid = 580€ circa to sleep with cockroaches in a single room! The room was very smelly and extremely dirty, the elevator arrives at the 5th floor and if you are staying at tge 6th or the 7th you carry your luggage by yourself! The hotel belongs to the Mercure: they should be ashamed to ask this price for this quality.
