Very disappointing experience for a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. I understand that technical issues can happen, but what matters is how they are handled. During my stay, I was unable to access my room independently because my key card never worked, meaning I had to return to reception every time to be escorted to my room. The room was also uncomfortably warm throughout the night. What disappointed me most was the lack of ownership. At checkout, I was simply told to contact Marriott because the issues were “not the hotel’s fault.” Even after raising my concerns, the hotel’s initial response focused on explaining the circumstances rather than acknowledging the impact on my stay. The front desk staff were polite and did their best under difficult circumstances, but the overall handling of the situation fell well below the level of service I expect from Marriott. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.

I was on business for an overnight stay at the hotel - overall very disappointing and not satisfied: - Hotel and room much too dark, the latter not satisfactory even with light - A/C didn't work properly in my room, windows can't be opened completely, so much too warm, about 24.7 degrees - in the foyer in the bar area apparently smokers can still smoke, sorry, a no go nowadays - Design seems to go in the house before function (e.g. operation of the faucet). After 2x use of the faucet I had the rod, which is intended for setting hot/cold and jet intensity, in my hand... - in view of the above, the room rate of over 280 EUR per night is completely excessive. The fact that breakfast will cost over 40 EUR extra is a joke - hardly any German speaking staff at reception - if personal tastes, the audience... young wealthy people (rich kids) plus contemporaries you will find in relevant hookah bars... Overall, the house is more appearance than being, much in the shop window, little in the shop... and too expensive for that. The house won't see me again.

We had booked our stay in advance at a hotel we have been returning to regularly over the past five years. This time, we had reserved three rooms and arrived early at 10:30 AM. At reception, we showed our passports and were informed that the rooms were not yet ready, which was completely understandable. We were offered to leave our luggage, which worked fine. We then went out into the city and returned around 6:00 PM, expecting our rooms to be ready. To our great surprise, we were told that the hotel had been overbooked and that there was no room available for us after all. As a solution, we were offered a taxi to another hotel about 20 minutes away. However, this hotel was a standard conference hotel and far below the level and quality we had originally booked and expected. This was especially disappointing as we are a group of 8–10 people who have stayed at this hotel regularly over the years. Being turned away like this after a confirmed booking and many hours of waiting is simply not acceptable.
