Overall, one can say that the entire stay "just fit," but it definitely did not meet my previous experiences or expectations of hotels. It started already at check-in or rather before that; as a Best Western Rewards member, there is the possibility of an early check-in if available. Unfortunately, there was no response to an inquiry regarding this via email and also by phone on the day of arrival, so we drove directly to the hotel on a whim (arrival around 1:30 PM) and inquired, only to be informed that check-in is generally only possible from 3 PM. Okay, no problem, we went to get something to eat instead. At 3 PM, we went to check in, and there was a huge line; the wait time at check-in was half an hour, which could have been handled better if the formalities had been taken care of in advance. Check-in was somewhat chaotic based on what we observed; sometimes reserved and prepaid rooms were not found or were unavailable because the hotel was allegedly overbooked... Sometimes incorrect rooms were assigned (single room instead of double room) (we only noticed this). Our reservation and room were fine, in any case. The next morning, we unfortunately discovered that the coffee capsule machine in the room was defective and did not brew coffee or produce hot water, so there was no coffee after getting up. This issue was reported at the reception, and it was stated that it would be fixed and the machine would be replaced; unfortunately, this did not happen, so there was still no coffee after getting up the next day. Unfortunately, the room key had to be re-coded the day after our arrival because we could not get back into the room, which was not ideal since we returned to the hotel around 4 PM after a long bike ride. So we had to go back to the reception, wait, and have the key re-coded. Only to find out afterward that although we had requested room cleaning with towel change, this had not yet been done. So we first looked for housekeeping on the floor; communication in German was almost impossible, but at least after a lengthy discussion, we received fresh towels so that we could finally take a shower. We then decided to forgo room cleaning. The breakfast at the hotel is good, above average; we have seen worse buffets in other hotels, but there were also some better ones. The coffee at the breakfast buffet, on the other hand, is very good.

This is a normal mid-range hotel on the outskirts of Frankfurt city centre. The staff was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and room size enough. They have a safe, which is a bonus. There is a pretty good bar and I liked the breakfast, not as varied as I have seen them elsewhere but enough to be satisfied. The rooms need some paint, the wall of my room was pretty scratched. It is not the best place to stay because it is somewhat far from the center to walk but it is a quiet hotel with the basics to have fun.

The Best Western Plus Welcome Hotel Frankfurt is a good city hotel. The hotel is close to the fair. The breakfast is good, with the usual hotel offers of cereal, jam, sausage, cheese and egg dishes etc. The service staff was very attentive and always removed the used dishes the same. The reception staff were friendly too. The room was clean and the size was ,rather smaller but sufficient. As a little tip: Don't book on the street side, as the tram is a bit noisier. All in all, we can recommend the hotel.
