Adesso Hotel Astoria

The hotel left me with a dodgy impression: The rooms are OK, was probably once an "old box" that was renovated. The fact that I booked a room without breakfast when booking online did not seem suspicious to me; that is something that is very common. Unfortunately, you only find out at check-in that the hotel does not offer breakfast at all; there you are then referred to bakers nearby. There is also no information in the room, the operation of the TV e.g. does not directly reveal itself to a technician like me; and the Wi-Fi is available, but the performance (speed) unfortunately underground ... For what was offered I found the single room price of € 114,- / night too high

The hotel gives the impression that it is just squeezing out the last bit of space before it has to be completely renovated. The TV had no reception; the fan in the bathroom doesn't work, the tiles were loose, there was a constant slight smell of urine; the WiFi in the room was so weak that it was unusable. We moved the two single beds apart so that they were actually two single beds. The beds underneath were cleaned, of course. Otherwise not particularly clean but not overly dirty either. The room is in a worn condition, see pictures. Removing the hotel's previous name is obviously too much work. It can still be seen in various places.

Good price (55€/night) for the room in the city center. We didnt eat breakfast but it was only 8,90€. Open 24/7 which was good for us. There was kind and polite older man in the info desk. They have parking for the car if you dont find one from the streets. Saw also game room with airhockey, billiard and table football. Douple room was good. Could just do some minor work with the bathroom. In the morning cleaning staff opened the door without knokking 🙄
