Hotel Fichtelberghaus

We hiked up the Fichtelberg today and were hungry accordingly. For the three of us we had cheese spaetzle, lentil stew and Kaiserschmarren. Taste all good, BUT paying 20€ for cheese spaetzle and getting a children's portion is absolutely not in proportion! The same goes for the Kaiserschmarren. 14€ for a children's portion. So no, next time there'll be three lentil stews. But the other two dishes were absolutely not in relation to the price. Likewise, the children's menu says that balanced nutrition is taken care of and half of the dishes are with fries and fried. Then two more desserts and one pasta. Well, it doesn't really work. That's a shame!

We stayed at the hotel again. The accommodation corresponded to our expectations. The staff was very friendly and accommodating in all areas. Also the quality of the food was not objectionable. We also received tips for our stay. Anyone who complains about parking charges is, in our opinion, to blame for not reading the clear instructions or for considering themselves sublime about the charges. We were in December 2025 evening 19.00 on the Fichtelberg . I always liked being there. That's all done for me now. Car parked the old parking machine there is no more.
