Pension Schweizerhaus

On our Lake Constance-Königsee cycle path, we chose the Schweizerhaus Inn for our stage destination. On our arrival it was cold and heavy rain was announced for the night. When we asked the pension operator where we could park our bikes, we were only instructed to have a place in the garden under a canopy. To our suggestion that they would be high-quality new e-bikes, the answer was only succinct: “if they can’t handle rain, they shouldn’t have become wheels”. Irrespective of the weather conditions, the bikes must be in a locked room overnight, otherwise insurance coverage will expire. Here came the accusation: you should have cleared that up beforehand. Our proposal to park the wheels for the night in the room on the ground floor was categorically rejected. An alternative place under a glass roof, near the road, was even less suitable. The existing own garages were also denied, as there would be their own cars and motorcycle. There was no willingness to meet us. Breakfast was rather moderate. In this respect, we cannot share the previous reviews. For us it was a one-time visit, we left early, not without paying the compensation of 80% of the room rate for the second day. All of our other milestones were marked by warm hospitality ..... a pity it wasn't like this at Schweizerhaus.

We went to Schweizerhaus for 2 nights last week. Our room was very spacious, with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. The garden with the playground was an added bonus to keep the children busy while we were planning our trips. Breakfast is great, plenty of meat, cheese, fruit, cereal options, with omelettes cooked on demand. Tegernsee is just a 15-minutes drive away. Definitely worth it.

Four of us stayed in the Schweizerhaus for one night and had a renovated room with an extra bed and a baby bed. It was super clean, the mattresses were great and the owner and staff were super friendly. The breakfast is an absolute highlight and the price is absolutely fair. The coffee is excellent. The drinks machine and coffee machine in the entrance area are also super practical -> you can pay by card and all drinks are served in glass bottles - great! We would stay here again anytime.
