Albatros Airport

A simple hotel in a small town near Frankfurt that provides breakfast and free airport transfers to guests. The town is small but you can walk (10 minutes) from the hotel to the metro which takes you directly to the main train station of Frankfurt.

I stayed here for an overnight layover and went through a booking website which said the shuttle service was available from 4pm to 12am but what it failed to mention was that you have to call and tell them to come get you because it doesn't run on its own like very other place I've ever stayed near an airport. I don't have a German phone and by the time I had waited for 30 minutes after a long flight I was too tired to try and find a phone. I payed for a taxi and the receptionist seemed surprised that I was irritated when I got there that they don't make it clear you have to call. It's €5 a trip and in the morning not only did I not get a wake up call I had scheduled but I almost missed the shuttle because the driver didn't give anyone in the lobby a heads up he was leaving as he (in street clothes, not even the hotel name on his shirt) walked right past the open doors of the dining room. If I hadn't asked the receptionist when the shuttle left I would have missed it. If you depend on your hotel for quality service when you are in a country and city you've never been in I suggest you go somewhere else. It's pretty shoddy at this one.

in most cases people stay there in transit for the airport - it is fine for this. Internet is very very poor but the restaurant next door is excellent and is quite a good value. I hope they can address the internet at some point.
