We booked this hotel in the hope of some relaxation, but were disappointed. The hotel seems to be intended primarily for travelers passing through by car. Arrival without a car: For guests arriving by train, the hotel is absolutely unsuitable. There are no directions provided by the hotel in advance on how to reach the accommodation from the train station. Without your own car, you are completely lost here. If you rely on Google Maps, you are led completely astray, and to top it all off, there is sometimes not even a sidewalk to the hotel. That is dangerous and absolutely unreasonable. Rooms & amenities: The rooms offer only the bare essentials and are partly very old. The carpets look worn out, the tiles in the spa area are crumbling, and there is not even a refrigerator in the room. Absolutely unusual for a hotel with a spa area: Bathrobes are not included, but must be rented for an extra fee. Spa area & sustainability: The two saunas are okay. The attached swimming pool, however, is very small and was completely overcrowded with children – there was no thought of relaxation. I particularly noticed the enormous water consumption in a negative way. Given the current low water levels of the Rhine, it is incomprehensible how thoughtlessly many guests simply let the showers run (in the belief that they would turn off automatically). The hotel staff does not monitor this, which is presumably due to understaffing on the weekend. There are no signs here. Service & staff: The reception staff lacked basic friendliness; in the morning, there was not even a "Good morning." Furthermore, they couldn't recommend any hiking trails in the area – the staff simply had no clue. Conclusion: Okay for just one night while passing through by car. Definitely not recommended for a real wellness vacation or arrival by train.

The arrival at the hotel was a bizarre experience. While we were checking in, two families were already leaving due to the warmth and errors of the hotel. The receptionist was extremely unfriendly. Our child of 1.5 had to sleep in a single bed because there was no camp bed. (We had requested it via booking but apparently they could not find the reservation anywhere). She went to ask a colleague if there was a cot available and rolled her eyes when I indicated that I didn't want to sign the check-in form until I was sure there was a cot. Our son would undoubtedly roll out of a big bed so no camp bed would mean we had to drive on. Eventually there was a cot available and we checked in. Because of the attitude of the receptionist, our frustration was already quite high. Then we decided to drive through a construction site to a slum, where the smell of piss meets you. The apartments are full of foreign workers, inside it smelled and everywhere were dirty stains (including on bed and chair). Upon entering we also appeared to have received the wrong apartment, 2 persons instead of 4 persons. We had booked the last one so our son didn't have to sleep with the dog. We were done with it, here we absolutely did not want to sleep and we decided to drive to the Netherlands in 1x. We reported at the reception that we had received the wrong apartment and also got a big mouth, because why do we book a 4 person apartment when there were only two of us? Incomprehensible... I've really never experienced anything like this. I don't know what the rooms in the hotel looked like, but that two families left before us gives us some idea: stay far away from this!

On the return trip from vacation, we, two couples, made a stopover. The rooms and the furnishings made a well-kept impression! For dinner, we chose the buffet option, which we did not regret. Well-rested, the breakfast buffet was very enjoyable. The dishes were presented appealingly, and the very attentive staff continuously refilled them! The used dishes were also quickly cleared from the tables. Should the need for an overnight stay in Niedernhausen arise again, we can very well imagine staying at the H+ Hotel Wiesbaden again!
