Nordic Hotel Frankfurt-Offenbach

I stayed here on 5th to 7th may 2019, a small hotel with sweet people , good room simple good breakfast, had good sleep enjoyed nicely.the reception people were sweet helpful, the decor simple nice, a little far from airport, but close to Offenbach city centre, good food service all walking distance.

When we booked the hotel we were looking for something that would be close to transports, have good conditions and would not be too expensive. We were two couples and booked the rooms online. We started to get a bit scared because of the bad reviews we were reading, but we were so happy when we got to the hotel. Bear in mind that it's a three star hotel, don't expect to have the conditions of a plaza. If you intend to spend lots of time in your room, it may not be the right choice. It's a good place to stay if you intend to walk around, visit the city and then sleep in a quiet area. There are amenities close by, in a 5 minute walking distance when you turn left of the hotel. The food was very good in all restaurants we tried and you have supermarkets around. You have the train station three minutes away and it's only two stops to Frankfurt Central Station. Our room did not have a mini fridge whereas the other couple's room had. But we were not upset about it, still if you require one, I would suggest requesting at reception when checking in, they might be able to do so as they are quite helpful and nice staff who speak English. The breakfast was alright, but we only had it once as we thought it was a bit overpriced for the selection. The good thing about it is you can choose at the day if you would like it or not and then pay at check out. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable and clean. We had fresh towels daily and the replenishment are refilled as necessary. You have a small lounge at reception if you would like to enjoy a soft drink or a beer at a good price. In regards of Wi-Fi, not so good in our room but it was better in the other couple's room. We will definitely stay again if we are to visit Frankfurt in the future.

I was given a spacious room on Level 4. There was no air conditioning. It was very hot in the room. The windows could not be opened to provide relief. The soap dispenser in the bathroom was nearly empty and after a few squirts it was completely empty. I had bought chocolates to give to my niece who lives in Munich. There was no refrigerator in the room to store the chocolates overnight. My travel agent had booked a room in this hotel months ahead, so there was no excuse why a decent room could not have been provided. The windows were filthy. They had probably not been cleaned for months or even years.
