Mdhotel Alte Bauernschanke

For this price an excellent family hotel with good food. Nice spacious ( upgrade ) room. Fine modern new bathroom. Everything very clean. Good mattress. Breakfast very good and very complete. Evening food (3 course menu ) was in itself good and simple. Service very friendly. Family hotel with warm family service. Drinks have a high price as usual. Nice hotel. Centrally located for exploration beautiful challenging environment. No air conditioning in our room. In the summer perhaps of interest. Typical very nice old character with modern amenities. Everything in great condition. Parking though a thing but well arranged. Wellness has not been used by us.

Comfort double room it should be. It didn't seem like it. The view from the hotel is very nice. Breakfast and the restaurant was also fine. For the room we still had to pay a supplement (20€ per night) for what I don't know. The heating was almost cold, the warm water came only after you run the water for about 2 minutes. Worst of all, however, were the dark long hair in the bathroom that could not be from us. Too bad

Because on the weekend in Eltville everything was either fully booked, too expensive or closed, we went to Assmannshausen to the Alte Bauernschänke and were very positively surprised! We had booked a weekend arrangement with 1 dinner & 2x breakfast. The whole hotel complex consists of several units: Main house with restaurant and beer garden, behind breakfast house, opposite then the room complex and the wine bar. Pretty, stylish & really lovingly dressed! The room house is equipped with a lift, so you can easily get to the rooms. Ours now had a monstrous four-poster bed which I wouldn't have needed now u. Also the style was quite German-conservative, but the room was bright, large, spotlessly clean, had very good beds and a fantastically large bathroom with window. What more do you want for the weekend?! We were impressed by the beautiful breakfast room with very tasteful decoration, the delicious breakfast and the very nice staff. Likewise, the dinner (3-course menu) in the stylish wine restaurant was really great!! The food was excellent in terms of quality, taste & presentation. The wine accompaniment as well u. we had a waitress (a young man), he understood his craft, was perfectly trained & went to incredible lengths. Even if the rustic rooms did not meet our tastes now, the weekend was so successful all around that Bergs in Assmannshausen will always be an alternative for us! We really liked it! Thank you so much!
