Rheinstein

We were here for 2 nights, the worst we've ever experienced. STAY AWAY. Spiders and spindles on the ceiling and in curtains, black spots on the curtains. Nuts and dirt on the floor, fluelort on the window frame and everywhere a dirty feeling, sticky surface on all surfaces. The toilet that can not rinse out and with large spots on the edges of the tub. Strange smell in the hallway and in the restaurant. Talked to other guests, they had tried to complain, total rejection for the reception, so we gave up. We have approximately 35-40 nights in div. Hotels and airbnb every year, never have we experienced such a nasty place.

Food is terrible - don’t by chicken wings, smell really bad and beer mugs have a weird smell too. Waiter didn’t seem to care despite complaining about the food.

In this family hotel several rooms reserved with parking (at 10 euros per car, per night) which must be paid separately. However, parking spaces did not appear to be there so the first irritation was immediately aroused. Extremely annoying also because there was someone in our company who has difficulty walking. At check-in we paid, without having even looked in the room, directly for our rooms. € 308,- for three nights excluding € 2,50 euro kurtaxe p.p. Even with the suitcases or up the stairs or into the very small elevator, where there was no further assistance. One of the rooms appeared to be smoked which is anything but pleasant for non-smokers. Rooms otherwise very basic. Bed in order, spacious bathroom and clean. Breakfast in order but not special. The staff is approachable but what is striking is that only the female staff has a smile on their face. A little personal attention is missing and that is a shame. No personnel to be seen on our departure. An empty reception. No one said hello or thanked us for visiting. We just left our room keys on the counter. After all, we had already paid on arrival. People in Rheinstein seem to have lost a bit of the thought behind being a host. It's too bad. I'm having trouble getting an average.
