Burghotel Trendelburg

Ordered directly fro, the hotels own website for a better offer than other sites. "Rapunzels Castle" is one of the finest stops on the Marchenstasse, the German Fairytale road. The hotel consists 2 buildings, one of them is Rapunzels Tower, and we stayed there on the top floor. The most important thing to know - it is a room in a very old castle (originally from the 12th century if I recall correctly) - it means you might need assistance with your luggage, that the ceiling in the room is low (I'm 1.92 cm, banged my head lightly a few times), small bathroom... and since our room was in the top floor, 30 degrees windows (I am a light sleeper,me and my wife woke up together at 0400 to the sound of the rain on those windows... and fell back to sleep, since the bed was very cozy. ) The staff and waiting staff were welcoming and helpful with every request. There is an observation tower in the hotel grounds (steep stairwell) to see the area, and a mini-mini dungeon below. The food (vegan, 1 dish in the evening menu) was delicious both for the dinner and the breakfast. In the evening, you can walk around Trendleburg, a tiny village. They turn on the street light, each light has its own fairy tale painted upon. This hotel was one of the few I stayed in and I was really sad to leave.

I think there's a little girl in a lot of women who would love to be a princess/queen one day. If only for one day. You can do that in Trendelburg. The old castle gives the perfect opportunity to descend a 700-year-old staircase with a beautiful (wedding) dress. Or giving each other the yes in the old basement. But even if you're not there yet, or were already there, you can go here for a romantic get away. With the soothing chirping of the birds in the early morning, the starry night sky, the healing hands of the masseuse and the soothing warmth of the sauna, you can completely relax here. All stress disappears. And there is only room left for love and romance. It can make any woman feel regal.

Quiet peaceful rural midieval experience. Felt like a royalty. Beautiful setting. I loved the nearby Forrest natural exercise setting.
