The check-in process was quick. The check-in process went quickly. Very helpful and service-oriented. The elevator is somewhat outdated but functional. The room is quietly located, with everything one needs. The beds are comfortable and the room size is completely adequate. The location of the hotel was very good. The old town is within walking distance. The hotel offers 2 charging stations for electric vehicles. One for Tesla and one for other brands. The price is a flat rate of €20. We had booked with breakfast included. Breakfast was served in the restaurant. Large and abundant buffet. There were egg dishes, various rolls, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, and yogurt in jars. Two different juices were also offered. If something is not available, you can feel free to ask the staff. There was only one coffee machine available. Yes, you might have to wait a moment. But you are not in a hurry. We were initially hesitant to book the hotel because the reviews were not the best. But we were pleasantly surprised and can truly recommend it.

The Michel Hotel in Wetzlar is a solid hotel on a hillside, about a 15-minute walk from the old town of Wetzlar. For our group, it was the ideal starting point for all activities. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally friendly and helpful service at the reception. All staff at the reception were always courteous and dedicated. For this, we award the fourth star. The rooms are spacious and clean, even if the furnishings are somewhat dated. Due to the hillside location, the restaurant is on the third floor. Noteworthy here is perhaps the fastest elevator I have ever experienced in a hotel – truly impressive! 👌🏼👌🏼😆 The only downside: The breakfast buffet could be a bit more extensive and balanced. The offered dinner buffet is, in our view, "significantly in need of improvement" and still has quite a bit of potential. Overall, it was still a pleasant stay with very good service and a good location for activities in and around Wetzlar. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

This hotel is not worth the price. I have NEVER had such a bad hotel in Germany. Although I booked through Booking, I should pay for breakfast for 2 people. The "hotel's own" underground car park could be used by everyone to the other it is so tightly cut that you have to occupy with larger cars equal 2 places, otherwise it does not fit. The lifts in this property are all not serviced, during my stay the last exam was due in October 2025, now is March 2026!! And there was still no trial! The elevator is so loud that you can still hear the elevator 8 rooms down! Rooms are never cleaned, No kettle, Coffee in the room. The safe in the room does not work, information from the hotel was, does not work in any room...... I could tell more but I prefer to save myself there.
