EDEN HOTEL

Anyone looking for a perfectly maintained oasis of well-being in Göttingen will find it absolutely at the Eden Hotel. We regularly use the great indoor pool and wellness area here. The entire house is modernly designed, exudes fine nostalgic charm in some corners, and is absolutely spotless. The service is warm, lively, and attentive. The food is particularly noteworthy: A magnificent breakfast buffet with great vegetarian/vegan options and an Italian restaurant that has enchanted us every evening with its culinary delights. Whether it's fresh draft beer or an Aperol Spritz on the sun terrace – the vacation mood sets in immediately here. Since the hotel is located in the courtyard, it is wonderfully quiet at night. We will definitely come back! 5 stars!

I booked a room. When I lay down in bed at night, a bug ran around in the bed after about ten minutes. A little later, I had a common earworm in bed, and shortly after that, another insect. I then went to the reception and requested another room, as it was unacceptable for me to stay in that bed. The employee told me that no rooms were available anymore. I do not believe that, as it was still possible to book rooms through the booking platforms and the hotel website. Not a single solution was proposed. I find this situation absolutely scandalous. This hotel does not even deserve one star. Never again.

My partner and I stayed 5 nights here. I slept great — the bed was excellent, the pillows were wonderful, and the room was large and very clean. We were visiting family who lived within eyeshot of the hotel, so it was a perfect location for both visiting them and exploring the town. Breakfast had a very good selection. I’m just a yogurt person, but anyone would be happy with the choices. The dinner restaurant was excellent. I ate there 4 times and had pasta, shrimp, and carpaccio — the carpaccio was especially delicious. Prices were reasonable, and the staff got to know us and became quite friendly (it just took a little time for them to warm up). The front desk staff were always busy but remained pleasant and helpful. We used the hotel bikes to get around everywhere — they were great and free!
