Steigenberger Hotel Baltic

I arrived with a bus tour group. Location of the hotel is good, relatively central. Breakfast and dinner also very good. Staff at breakfast and dinner were friendly. BUT: the rooms were not automatically cleaned (which actually belongs to the standard at a 4-star hotel!) - only upon request - towels were not changed, beds were not made, trash cans were not emptied, toilet paper was not restocked. Fresh towels and toilet paper had to be requested by the guest at the reception. You kept seeing guests walking through the building with toilet paper... so degrading for a 4-star establishment!!. That is an absolute no-go, simply pathetic. I pay the full room rate + single room supplement and do not receive the full service from the hotel. If the full service cannot be provided by the hotel, the full price should actually not be charged either. That is a rip-off like no other!! Wall-to-wall carpeting everywhere in the hotel with disgusting stains, disgusting deposits on the hinges of the shower door in the shower, shower door did not close tightly, so that water accumulated in front of the shower. 2 elevators in the building, one of which was broken again (this was already the case 2 years ago). No refrigerator and no air conditioning in the room; the restaurant area was also not air-conditioned, it was extremely hot there. A building that is in need of renovation and where quite a few things should be reconsidered!!

The location of the hotel is good: with a short walk in the old town and to the port. Certainly because outside the door up to 3 large coaches can park it is flooded by seniors :). The hotel should be refreshed ...

Our room itself was okay: quiet, clean, the decor rather 'old-fashioned'; had gotten a bathroom with shower as desired. In the hotel itself, the second elevator would urgently have to be put back into operation and the carpeting on the corridors renewed. As for breakfast, we were surprised because the breakfast area was cozy and the offer at the buffet good.
