Pension Apostel

Not recommended for cyclists or anyone expecting reasonable, helpful customer service. We booked this hotel while cycling the north coast. Only on the day of arrival were we told that bicycles were strictly forbidden inside—even when packed in bags—and had to be left in the courtyard. This was not stated in the listing. We were traveling with two carbon bikes worth approximately €6,000 and proposed several reasonable solutions. The property curtly dismissed them all and refused cancellation and a refund because “the access codes had already been sent”—even though the bicycle restriction was communicated with those same access instructions.
